with what, dear?
i can’t defeat vanitas on ventus’s level in the keyblade graveyard. last time i tried i was on level 28. since then, i’ve left that world and gone to get leveled up but the furthest i’ve gotten in that battle is depleting one of his health bars and then he just beat the shit out of me. is there something i should be doing in particular to beat him?
The big thing I would suggest is you learn his pattern. He repeats his moves over and over again (I noticed it was in a sequence OR one major attack would follow another). The best way to win the fight against him is to learn the cues that he gives before each attack.
Jumping up and plunging into the ground means you dodge roll out of the way and don’t stop until you can lock onto him again (when he plunges into the ground keep trying to lock onto him, if he’s underground you can’t lock on, but one clue to let you know he’s done is when you can finally lock on again).
Another one of his attacks include shooting little laser like things at you. For this one, stand in place and hit your block button while locked onto him. If done successfully they will hit him. This is actually how I mostly defeated him to be honest. I hit him with his own attacks.
Another thing, when he is about to go into the middle of the screen and start shooting his lasers in a circle use your shot lock before he gets a chance. If done right you can hit him down before he attacks.
Another useful thing, at the very start of the battle I always used shot lock right as he was running away to jump on his keyblade tornado type thing. If done right this is another thing that can knock him down.
Good luck :)
